It is all systems go for 2012!

When it was February, October seemed such a long time in the future. But now it has arrived, and with it the promise of investing just over a month of your life in e-Learning. The idea is that you give yourself (and your diary!) space to immerse yourself in something that you always thought you could be/do. Now is the chance.

I have recorded a short welcome message with important nudges on Sound cloud.

Week 1 is extremely important and I can only motivate everyone to make the most of this module.

Listen to the embedded Soundcloud track below.

  1. Well, I have listened to the welcome soundcloud from JP. It really sounds nice and tries to limit our fears into this e-learning module. The truth is we are all interested in e-learning, but like most teachers, we are walking paths which we have tried to avoid before. however, this will be a very nice learning experience I presume on which we shall build even after the end of M.Phil.

  2. My advice on this e-learning module is for one to really think of something simple to initiate and finally write on as an assignment. The time we have is not certainly enough to initiate a state-of-art project. But we should look around from what we normally use i.e phones, pam-tops, computers to see how we can make learning better using technology. The way I see it, it could be as simple as giving students feedback using sms etc. We really need to look around us and not beyond. It is quite tough though! Still wondering how if I came up with a power point of my prototype project, how it will be sub-mitted with the assignment write up which is MS Word.

  3. I like Mubuuke's advice - it resonates with previous years' experiences in this module. The tool you choose (e.g. SMS systems for feedback) is not as important as describing the whole design process of how you are going to incorporate the tool into your curriculum.

The assignments will be submitted in Webstudies. Both in Turnitin, as well as in the assignment inbox provided.

In the assignment inbox you can upload as many files as you want. Therefore if you have e.g. the Word doc as your written assignment, and a PPT presentation that explains your e-Learning Intervention concept, then you submit the Word doc through Turnitin, and both the Word doc and PPT files in the Assignment inbox.
